Dear Commencement contributors,

We write today to add our thanks for your work in preparing for this year’s Commencement ceremonies, welcoming our guests to campus, and creating a memorable celebration of our graduates’ accomplishments. From planning and hospitality to construction and clean-up, your roles were vital in helping MIT rise to the challenge of a new celebration format and the many festivities held across campus during the week, including the extra ceremony to honor the Classes of 2020 and 2021. Thanks to you, the events were a resounding success.

We attended several Commencement events and saw first-hand the results of your work. There was a visible sense of pride, camaraderie, and absolute joy in our graduates and in their families and friends.

In recognition, we are presenting you with a token of appreciation on behalf of the Institute’s senior leadership. Within a few weeks, you will receive an email message from the sender “MIT Commencement” with a unique link to access a pop-up shop at Winbrook Promo, where you are invited to choose from among three MIT-branded thank-you gifts: 1) an anorak jacket with hood by Charles River Apparel; 2) a fleece jacket by Charles River Apparel; or 3) a Nike backpack. Your gift will be shipped to you by Winbrook.

Commencement is a time when we showcase MIT at its absolute best. We could not have done it without your help. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ramona Allen
