To members of the MIT community:

Please save the date of Saturday, May 11 because the OneWorld @ MIT Festival is back! We are excited to announce that this year, all faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend and participate in a stage show that will celebrate the diverse talents of our community—and to continue the fun at a food festival to follow. This event is for all ages, so we hope you will bring your friends and family. (What’s a stage show? See video from 2017.)

OneWorld @ MIT Infinite Talent Show and Food Festival

  • Talent show 3–4:30 pm, Johnson Athletics Center Ice Rink (W34)
  • Food festival 4:30–6 pm, Kresge Oval
  • All are welcome; no tickets required
  • Show your talent! Individuals and groups may submit applications until NOON on Tuesday, April 2

Participation

Whether you sing, dance, tell jokes, do acrobatics or dramatics, perform magic, juggle, play an instrument, write poetry, or possess any other talent you (or your group) would like to share on stage, we want to hear from you!

To submit YOUR talent for consideration in the 2019 program, please sign up via Google doc. The DEADLINE for talent submissions is Tuesday, April 2 at 12 NOON. Submissions will be reviewed by the OneWorld Planning Committee.

There may be an opportunity for visual artists and other makers or creators to exhibit their work at OneWorld 2019. If your talent falls into these areas, tell us more and provide photos/links when you submit the application form.

We look forward to continuing the OneWorld @ MIT tradition on May 11!

Sincerely,

Cynthia Barnhart
