Portable child care supplement for postdoctoral fellows

Dear Postdoctoral Fellows,

MIT is announcing a new portable child care supplement available to benefits-eligible employees, beginning in January 2023. I am writing to let you know that, through my office, postdoctoral fellows will also be eligible for a portable child care benefit that will mirror the employee benefit as closely as possible.

The amount of the benefit will vary depending on your household income and the number of your dependent children who are under the age of 13. To apply for this benefit, please complete this online application by November 18, 2022.

We know child care costs can be a major stress for parents of young children, and hope this benefit will assist you in a meaningful way.
