To the members of the MIT community,

MIT's mission is to address the world’s most pressing challenges, and MIT staff are essential to meeting this mission. The Institute’s more than 17,000 employees bring expertise, dedication, and support to this important work. We invite you to highlight the outstanding accomplishments of your colleagues by nominating an individual or team for the 2027 MIT Excellence Awards or the Collier Medal.

The MIT Excellence Awards acknowledge the achievements of staff members across six award categories. Any member of the MIT community may be nominated for the Collier Medal. Nominations are due by Friday, December 4.

The Human Resources recognition webpage provides information about the nomination process, including guidance for submitting video nominations. If you have questions, please contact Cori Champagne, MIT Recognition Program Manager, at 617-253-5986 or excellence@mit.edu.

I hope you will consider recognizing a colleague whose efforts have made a difference to you, your team, and the Institute. As always, I look forward to celebrating the contributions of our community members with you at the 2027 Excellence Awards and Collier Medal ceremony in June.

Sincerely,

Ramona Allen
Vice President for Human Resources
