Dear members of the MIT community,

I'm delighted to invite you to our annual event celebrating MITHIC – the MIT Human Insight Collaborative. On November 17, we’ll gather to learn about exciting research, discovery and hands-on problem solving happening across MIT's human-centered disciplines as faculty "go big" – pursuing their most innovative ideas and collaborating with colleagues in other fields.

This inspiring event will feature:

• A keynote and fireside chat with MIT Sloan School of Management Dean Rick Locke PhD '89, former head of the department of political science
• Fascinating faculty talks on building AI tools for health diagnostics, innovating in education, exploring materials in archaeology and music, and more
• A panel on the Living Climate Futures Lab
• A partial screening of the documentary In Search of Bengali Harlem
