An invitation to discuss MIT’s Climate Project
Dear members of the MIT community,
Since beginning as vice president for energy and climate on April 1, I have had the privilege of engaging with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners across our campus and beyond. I have greatly appreciated listening to your ideas for how MIT can best rise to the challenges of energy and climate.
As a framework is coming into focus, I would like to share our plans with you. I will also introduce a new seed grant program designed to spur and accelerate research projects.
To ensure that as many members of our community as possible can take part, I will offer three identical sessions this semester:
Session 1: In-person
Monday, October 20, 3:00–4:30 p.m.
Building 55, EAPS Atrium
Session 2: Virtual
Wednesday, November 12, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. ET
Session 3: In-person
Tuesday, December 2, 3:30–5:00 p.m.
Building 55, EAPS Atrium
More information, including links to register for one of the sessions, is on the Climate Project website.
The energy, passion, and drive I have felt from the MIT community is inspiring. I am more optimistic than ever that, by combining our collective strengths and working with partners around the world, we can help build a resilient, sustainable, and prosperous future for all.
I look forward to sharing these ideas with you and hearing your perspectives and questions at one of the upcoming sessions.
Sincerely,
Evelyn Wang
Vice President for Energy and Climate
