To the members of the MIT community,

I write to invite you to the inaugural symposium of the MIT Generative AI Impact Consortium, or MGAIC (“magic”), coming up on September 17. This signature gathering is designed to highlight the Institute’s commitment to helping society make sense of, and responsibly shape, the extraordinary advances unfolding in generative AI and adjacent fields.

Featuring visionary talents from MIT and industry working at the front lines of AI and robotics, the symposium will explore topics from AI and entrepreneurship to hardware and edge computing to the future of LLMs. The event will conclude with a poster session showcasing the work of our students.
