Celebrating MIT staff on June 5

To the members of the MIT community:

At the MIT Excellence Awards + Collier Medal awards ceremony, the MIT community gathers to celebrate recent staff accomplishments that support the mission and vision of the Institute. We invite you to join your colleagues on Thursday, June 5, to recognize the 2025 recipients for their hard work, talent, and spirit of collaboration.

The Excellence Awards recognize staff for the many ways they contribute to fulfilling the goals, values, and mission of MIT. The Collier Medal honors the memory of Officer Sean Collier, who gave his life protecting and serving the MIT community; recipients embody Officer Collier’s dedication and collegiality. The MIT Staff Award for Distinction in Service recognizes those who actively engage in building community at MIT, through large or small actions. The Gordon Y. Billard Award honors those who have made important, lasting, and wide-ranging contributions to the MIT community.
