You're invited: Dedication of LRR Innovation Corridor
Dear members of the MIT community,
On Monday, June 16, in the open space sometimes called the “outfinite,” we will gather to celebrate the naming of the L. Rafael Reif Innovation Corridor.
In his decade as MIT’s 17th president, Rafael led a period of transformative change on campus, including the development of the Lisa T. Su Building, created to house MIT.nano, and the establishment of the MIT Stephen A. Schwarzman College of Computing. Recognizing the powerful symbiosis between the Institute and the surrounding innovation ecosystem, he spearheaded important advances beyond our campus as well, from redeveloping Kendall Square to launching The Engine, a pioneering tough-tech incubator.
Rafael left an indelible mark on the Institute. We are delighted to dedicate the Innovation Corridor in recognition of his inspired leadership.
