Dean, Sloan School of Management
About the position
The dean of the MIT Sloan School of Management works with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to expand the school’s global impact and visibility. MIT Sloan conducts groundbreaking research on complex societal challenges and its faculty members embrace interdisciplinary partnerships, investigating topics at the intersection of different fields in pursuit of new insights and solutions. The dean leads the formulation and implementation of MIT Sloan’s strategy as it relates to curriculum development, faculty hiring and advancement, research support, and community engagement. For the past several years, through the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond, the dean has devoted significant energy to supporting and strengthening all parts of the MIT Sloan community and to expanding partnerships within and across MIT.
