Accessing the Student Center and providing your vaccine status

Dear Covid Pass users,

Our campus is opening gradually, but we have a way to go before we can open fully. An important step each of us needs to take is to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Hopefully, you saw the message from Chancellor Cynthia Barnhart and MIT Medical Director Dr. Cecilia Stuopis on the student vaccination requirement, and the email from Vice President for Human Resources Ramona Allen, Provost Marty Schmidt, and Executive Vice President and Treasurer Glen Shor about sharing your vaccination status by May 23. If you haven’t, please read them both now and provide your vaccination status as soon as possible.

And there are new signs of reopening. First, all Covid Pass users with access to campus can now visit Dunkin’ in the Student Center between 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

Additionally, the Campus Activities Complex will open two spaces for students to use as soon as next week. Students can reserve those spaces through CAC starting on Monday, May 10. Please note that eating and drinking will not be allowed in these reservable spaces.

I hope you will enjoy picking up a little taste of pre-Covid MIT life at the Student Center very soon.

Best,

Suzy Nelson
Vice President and Dean for Student Life
