Your feedback is shaping campus dining

Dear students,

Welcome to the spring semester! We’re writing to share an update on the Dining Roadmap and the results from the fall campus dining survey, administered by dining consulting firm Envision Strategies, which more than 2,200 of you completed.

Three themes emerged consistently as central to your food choices and priorities for improving the dining program: food affordability, quality, and convenience. Similar themes from the fall focus group sessions echoed these survey findings. You emphasized the importance of value and affordability, access to food throughout the day and evening hours, and high-quality meals and dining experiences.

In addition to data collection, we have reviewed the condition of our dining facilities, examined our current operations, and initiated several pilot programs that are showing promising results.

Our goal is to continue making meaningful short-term improvements while planning for longer-term upgrades to meal plans, offerings, and facilities that improve value, access, and quality for all students.

We’ll continue to work closely with students, staff, and faculty from the dining advisory group. Members of the dining team will also be available at a table in Lobby 10 on February 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. to hear your suggestions. Please stop by and share your ideas. Watch for other special promotions and updates on the Dining Roadmap this spring.

Sincerely,

Melissa Nobles
Chancellor
