Join us for the launch of the MIT Human Insight Collaborative
Dear members of the MIT community,
I’m excited to invite you to the official launch of the MIT Human Insight Collaborative (MITHIC) – a new initiative designed to make it easier for faculty from across MIT’s human-centered disciplines to “go big” – to pursue their most innovative ideas in their discipline, to collaborate with others outside their field on important problems and to explore fresh approaches to teaching our students.
This kick-off event will feature a conversation with Min Jin Lee, acclaimed author of Pachinko. She’ll be joined by Linda Pizzuti Henry, CEO of Boston Globe Media, for what promises to be a thought-provoking discussion about the intersection of storytelling, culture, and innovation. The program will also feature brief talks by several MIT faculty members on MITHIC’s potential to spark new ideas and amplify MIT’s ability to do good in the world.
Monday, October 28, 2024
4:00 – 6:00 p.m., followed by a reception
Room 10-250
Space is limited, so please confirm your attendance by October 23, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
MITHIC will help MIT unlock the power of human insight, applying new creativity, inquiry and understanding to great global challenges like climate change, pandemics, poverty, the fragility of democracy, the risks of AI and more.
We look forward to celebrating this exciting launch with you as we embark on this next chapter of human-centered innovation at MIT.
Warm regards,
Sally Kornbluth
