Get involved in Commencement!
To our first-years, sophomores, and juniors:
Commencement is a time when we celebrate important milestones for graduating students. You can be a part of the celebration by volunteering to work at Commencement events during the last week of May (schedule), including:
- The OneMIT Commencement Ceremony for all graduates and their guests in Killian Court on Thursday, May 30, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. ET
- The Undergraduate Degree Ceremony in Killian Court on Friday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET
- The School/College Advanced Degree Ceremonies, at which doctoral hoods will be conferred, beginning on the afternoon of May 29 and concluding on May 31
We need help with guest services, which include ushering, translation, campus information, disability services, and helping to ensure that our graduates and their families have a smooth and stress-free experience on these special days.
Please indicate your interest in volunteering through this online form.
Current on-campus undergraduate residents who volunteer to help with Commencement may request an extension to their housing until noon on Saturday, June 1. The deadline to request extended housing through the Commencement volunteer sign-up form is Wednesday, April 17.
We hope that you will join in the festivities and help to make MIT Commencement joyful for our graduates and their guests. If you have questions, please contact MIT Institute Events.
Sincerely,
