Biography
Mark V. Silis was appointed MIT’s vice president for information systems and technology (IS&T) in March 2019. Silis began his MIT journey as an undergraduate and is now a 20-year veteran of IS&T, with past appointments as manager of network and infrastructure services, director of operations and infrastructure services, and associate vice president. With his deep understanding of the MIT culture and in-depth technical knowledge, Silis leads IS&T in driving the overall vision for MIT’s digital foundation to support MIT’s research and education mission.
