One of the Institute’s five corporate officers, the Vice President of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is responsible for MIT’s internal communication and the coordination of policy issues with the senior administration. He also works closely with senior academic leadership to implement MIT's emerging initiatives.
The Vice President provides advice and support to senior officers and other MIT constituents on matters of internal communications, and has management responsibilities for Communication Production Services, the Government and Community Relations Office, Institute Events, and the News Office. Responsibilities include providing direct support to the President on communications and relations with internal constituencies; coordinating activities and communication among senior staff; and advising the President on policy issues.
